Dec 6 - Sowing New Seeds
In my early 20’s I left Southwestern Virginia, where I grew up and attended college, to start my “adult life” in Baltimore.
Making this move required bravery and belief that I would be ok living 4+ hours away from everything that I’d been familiar with up until then.
It was an exhilarating time in my life. I felt more independent than I had ever been. I liked going out and exploring my new town, meeting new people, and starting a new career. I was officially out on my own and sowing the seeds of a new life in a new place.
This piece makes me think of those first days setting out on my own and the bravery and independence they required.
