Dec 12 - Perfect Expression

$160.00

After several years of renting apartments, we bought our first house in December 2004.

We set out to make the home feel as much like our space soon after moving in, and with a long winter ahead of us, decided that one of the first things we were going to do was paint the whole interior of the house.

So in early January, we set out for the paint store, and the possibilities for paint colors were endless.

And, as we slowly narrowed down our color choices for the different rooms, we started to create a midcentury modern palette for our new home.

It was going to be the perfect expression of our own style.

This piece makes me think of the way that the palette of that first house came together and how we were so eager to make the home reflect our style. It features many of the same colors that we used in the rooms, and the piece came together very organically - color by color - just like it did back in the paint store.
